What is the best Dog Breed for me?

Imagine you walk past a pet shop and in the pet shop window,  is a sign that says beautiful 6 little Golden Retriever Puppies to give in good hands.

You remember your childhood that you always wanted a puppy.

Your parents never allowed you to have a puppy.

Whenever you asked they said it is not the right time.

Now is your chance to get a puppy you live on your own and you could use the company.

STOP... right here. Before you get a puppy or a dog think what it means to your lifestyle.

Finding the right dog is important. What is the best Dog Breed for you?

Finding the right dog for you is important as you will spend a lifetime with your Dog.  Yes, you heard right a dog depend on the Dog Breed can become quite old.

Looking for a dog is a family decision. See how easy it is to get the right dog for you.

When you look for a dog there are lots of different Dog Breeds available and to choose from.

Don’t tell me you just want a dog because it looks good in the new car you just bought at 9% interest rate.

Think about it how happy you will be when your dog scratches the new leather seats or the worst of it when it starts eating the upholstery because it is boring being left alone in the car.

Getting a dog is not like buying a new pair of shoes.

It is like you are having a child, except it doesn’t speak English and will poop. It sheds the hairs and will make noise, will not let you sleep in and needs daily attention.

Are you prepared to share your life with a dog?

If that makes you scream then consider another kind of pet. Maybe some fish or maybe a plant and maybe just a new car or a pair of shoes.

In case your love your job and push for your career, on top of it you work from 7 am to 10 pm six days a week, then you are going to have a really lonely and unhappy dog on your hands.

Can you guess how a dog shows unhappiness?

A Dog’s perspective…

In the absence of being able to say, “Pay attention to me, “

if not I will do things like peeing on your shoes or into your shoes,

I love to chew them to pieces,

I will make your sofa look bear without upholstery and I love to make a mess.

I might have to poo where should I go. This is not your dog’s fault it will be yours.

I might slumber all over your clothes.

I love to play with the rubbish bin…

Don’t ask why? So repeat the mantra now.

A dog is a living thing.

A dog is a living thing.

A dog is a living thing.

Did you get it? Here it goes again

I love my dog for a lifetime.

I love my dog for a lifetime.

I love my dog for a lifetime.

Here is a little quiz for you.

Determine if you can answer all of them with yes or no.

If the answer no to any of those questions then you are probably not yet ready to have a dog. That is ok a bit tough… but you are still allowed to like dogs.

If you answer them all with yes then you are ready to have a dog. Congratulation.

  • Nice post! Funny and deadly serious at the same time. Some people take dog adoption rather lightly, but it's a life-changing decision to make.

    • Hi there
It is serious about adopting a dog or just getting one. As when you get one you need to be able to handle them and be able to give them the living environment they need. A happy dog is a healthy dog. The same goes for the owner a happy dog owner is a relaxed dog owner.
A dog brings so much joy into our daily life, and dogs are so loyal companion. It is important to choose a dog according to your living environment.
For example, I see here in Asia so many huskies and I am wondering every time why did the dog owner choose a husky in a tropical climate.
Needless to say that the husky is suffering in this heat and has not much fun going for a walk.
Anyhow, thank you for commenting on this post.

      Have a beautiful day
      Melanie
